Jonathan Gullman
CEO since 2007
Even though Jonathan is the CEO, he’s an engineer at heart. Ever since he was a kid, building was his passion—he built everything from digital clocks to custom proximity sensors. Jonathan makes sure product development is a finely tuned machine, and that projects continue to move forward without compromise. While much of his time is spent strengthening the relationship between the mechanical and electrical aspects of our products, Jonathan designs with an eye towards excellence. He finishes each day the way he starts it—with his family. On weekends, you can find him outside with his wife and daughter, enjoying everything California has to offer.

Daniel Gullman
Product Designer since 2010
The growth and evolution of a product is where Daniel’s passion rests. With his critical eye for detail, each product he touches is not just cutting-edge in its innovation; its essential functions must be elevated through good design. Usually, it’s a question of problem solving. Everyday presents new challenges. Whether it’s improving MSB’s manufacturing processes, refining and creating new product designs, or managing the MSB team, obstacles need to be overcome, improved, and solved. And there’ll always be obstacles when innovating. When Daniel isn’t in the office, he’s yacht racing on the Monterey Bay or out mountain biking through California’s serene redwood forests.

Dustin Symanski
Circuit Designer since 1997
As MSB’s Chief Circuit Designer, Dustin is responsible for the invention of industry leading components that make MSB products stand out from the crowd. Discovering the potential of classic and emerging technologies and their potential uses is not just his superpower; it’s the essence of his work. Dustin inspires a “never settle” mentality when it comes to design, and constantly inspires and pushes the team forward to achieve their highest potential. When he’s not tinkering on new designs for MSB, he’s spending time with his wife and two sons—teaching, creating, and sharing experiences.

Tim Hawkins
SMT Technician since 2010
Tim is a theologian at heart. Outside of studying the bible and practicing his faith, you can find him on the water, surfing the best barrels Santa Cruz has to offer.

Robin Turnquist
Human Resources since 2010
Aside from making sure MSB runs smoothly, you can find Robin scrapbooking, quilling and gardening. Oh—every Christmas, you can expect the best apple pie filling you’ll ever taste.

Kevin Turnquist
Digital Media since 2011
On his spare time, Kevin can be found mountain biking through ocean bluffs and redwood forests, pushing his boundaries (safely) on two wheels.

Trisha Suruki
Production Specialist since 2013
Trisha has the art of sewing locked down. When she’s done handling some of the most intricate, specialized work at MSB, you can find her crafting stunning quilts and being all-around creative.

Debi Thompkins
Soldering Specialist since 2014
A Soldering Goddess since age sixteen, Debra is also a Goddess of the sea. You’ll find her out on the water with the whales more days than not—just ask the BBC.

Finishing Specialist since 2016
Johnny is one of our hardest workers, but he takes his time off just as seriously by cracking open a cold beer with Banda Machos playing on the stereo.

David Gullman
CNC Technician since 2018
As a gamer from his early days, David has enjoyed watching and participating in the rise of the e-sports era.

Mario Paredez
Testing Technician since 2019
Not only is Mario a California man through-and-through, he’s also a family man. He spends his weekends with his wife and daughter, where they check out the latest restaurants—especially the ones where sushi is involved.

When Jonathan’s not in the shop, you can find him off-roading his 4×4 as he adventures under the California sun. If it’s off the beaten path, he’s there.

Production Specialist since 2021
When Brianna isn’t jamming to 21 Pilots on her dirt bike, she’s hanging at the beach and catching some sun.

Rob Shallenberger
Shipping Manager since 2022
Robert’s true love is California. The weather, the water, the trees. He loves all of it–almost as much as he loves skateboarding and cooking mindblowing meals. Bourbon may or may not be involved.

Luis Abundis
Production Specialist since 2022
Like a lot of the team, Luis likes getting out in the sunshine. Whether it’s coaching soccer or hanging out with friends and family, you can find him outside, chilling with his homies while jamming to Nipsey Hussle.
