This is the proper solution for modern powered subwoofer implementation. The distorted output of poor quality powered sub amplifiers degrades delicate signal quality before it has been put through power amplifiers. Once the delicate signal has been put through power amplifiers the output is rugged enough to not be affected by nasty feedback generated by the lower class amplification of the powered subwoofer. The new design works by lowering the already amplified and rugged output signal of your amplifiers do to the appropriate signal level for use in your powered sub and then using audiophile grade transformers to isolate the incoming signal from any feedback that may be present over the connection that is made with your powered sub.
